Sing, Move and Play: An Integrated Approach to Music – Whangarei
Venue: Old Library, 7 Rust Avenue, Whangarei
Participants will engage with wholistic, interactive music activities, using Orff pedagogy, mainly based around an accessible Te Reo theme. Using a contemporary NZ children’s story, participants will learn how to engage students in imitating and creating music and movement, in response to the stories motivation. Participants will be scaffolded to work collaboratively, to create a movement and music ensemble piece, using voice, percussion and barred instruments.
